Willow Lodge provides residential care and dementia residential care, together with permanent, respite and day care options. Care is tailored around the individual, with attention to personal needs, preferences, routines and wellbeing.

The home specialises in dementia care and supports people living with mild, moderate and advanced dementia. Staff understand the importance of delivering support calmly, patiently and with dignity, particularly for people experiencing distress, confusion or changes in behaviour. Relatives are kept informed, and care is shaped in discussion with health professionals where needed, helping ensure support remains personal, thoughtful and responsive.

Home and Lifestyle

Willow Lodge is a large, well-kept home full of warmth and character. Rather than feeling clinical or impersonal, it offers spacious rooms, landscaped gardens and attractive shared areas where residents can enjoy both companionship and quiet time.

Bedrooms are light, airy and well proportioned, with many enjoying pleasant views and many offering en-suite facilities. Residents are welcome to bring personal furniture and belongings to help their room feel more familiar and settled. Lift access helps make the home easy to move around.

Daily life at Willow Lodge is shaped around comfort and enjoyment. Freshly prepared meals, choice at mealtimes, regular visiting services such as hairdressing and chiropody, and a carefully maintained environment all help create a home where people can feel relaxed, supported and valued. Activities, outings and social opportunities sit alongside quieter corners for reading, conversation or simply enjoying a cup of tea.

Willow Lodge enjoys an attractive position in Southbourne near Emsworth, within landscaped grounds and close to the village centre and railway station. It offers the feeling of a peaceful location without being remote, making it convenient for both residents and visiting families.

Family and friends are warmly welcomed, and visits are encouraged as an important part of life at the home. Tours can be arranged by appointment, and the team always tries to make visiting feel easy, comfortable and well supported.

A Word from Our Manager

“

I began my career in the care sector in 1998 when I left school. My previous roles include Cleaner, Carer, Senior Carer, Team Leader, Deputy Manager and now Registered Manager. I joined English Oak in November 2020 as the Deputy Manager and proudly became the Registered Manager in January 2022.

I am a Dementia Interpreter and have completed the Six Steps end of life care programme, to share with my team — to develop their knowledge and delivery of care, specifically to individual needs and situations.

At Willow Lodge we are committed to enhancing the lives of those on their journey with dementia and to supporting their families through the experience also. I believe in the ‘home from home’ ethos. We want your loved ones to feel welcome, valued and safe — whilst having fun too!
