Hunters Lodge Care Home

Welcome to Hunters Lodge

Hunters Lodge is a warm and welcoming care home in Fareham, specialising in dementia care and offering a comfortable, supportive environment where residents can enjoy the right balance of safety, privacy and companionship.

The home has been designed to help people live as fully as possible, with care shaped around the individual and surroundings created to feel calm, attractive and reassuring. For families, Hunters Lodge offers both specialist support and peace of mind in a home where dignity, quality and meaningful daily life are at the centre of care.

Care and Support

Hunters Lodge provides residential care and dementia residential care for up to 44 residents, alongside respite and day care options. Care is tailored to each individual's needs, routines, abilities and preferences, with the aim of helping every resident feel secure, valued and respected.

The home specialises in supporting people living with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Staff receive ongoing training in dementia care and person-centred practice, helping them provide support that is skilled, compassionate and responsive to changing needs.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy companionship, activities and a satisfying daily lifestyle, with the understanding that wellbeing depends on more than care tasks alone. Regular residents' and relatives' meetings also help ensure views are heard and valued.

Home and Lifestyle

Hunters Lodge combines specialist dementia support with an attractive, well-maintained environment. The home includes bright communal rooms, a conservatory, accessible lounges, dining spaces and a large secluded garden that is level, wheelchair friendly and filled with mature trees, raised planting beds and outdoor seating.

Accommodation includes a choice of room types, from standard rooms through to deluxe rooms, executive rooms with direct garden access and master suites for a more independent style of living. Many rooms have en-suite wet rooms, and residents may bring personal furniture if they wish.

Daily life is designed to support comfort, choice and enjoyment. Residents can spend time socialising, relaxing indoors, taking part in activities, or simply enjoying the fresh air and gardens in a setting that feels comfortable, well cared for and welcoming.

Meet our Registered Manager

Kerry Healy
Registered Manager, Hunters Lodge

My career in health and social care began in 2008, supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries and Learning Disabilities as a Care Assistant. From the very start, I discovered a passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives and knew I wanted to build a long-term career in the sector.

I went on to achieve my Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care and progressed into a Team Leader role, supporting individuals living with Autism. In 2017, I moved into elderly care and dementia support as a Deputy Manager, where I further developed my leadership and care management skills. During this time, I gained my Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care and continued to expand my knowledge and experience across a range of care settings.

My dedication to delivering high-quality, person-centred care has enabled me to progress from Deputy Manager to Registered Manager within a large care home organisation. I am passionate about ensuring that every individual receives the support, dignity and respect they deserve while maintaining the highest standards of care and safety.

At Hunters Lodge, our aim is to create a warm, welcoming environment where residents truly feel at home. We are committed to providing personalised care tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences and wishes, while offering ongoing support to their families and loved ones throughout their journey with us.

We understand that moving into a care home can be a significant life change, and we strive to make that transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. Our priority is to ensure residents are happy, comfortable, safe and supported to live fulfilling lives.

We warmly welcome prospective residents and their families to visit Hunters Lodge, enjoy a coffee and cake with us, discuss their care needs and take a tour of our home. Our team is always happy to provide guidance, answer questions and offer any information needed to help you make the right decision for your loved one.
